Sleeping With Sirens have released their highly anticipated eighth studio album, An Ending In Itself, today via Rise Records. The band also unveiled a new music video for the standout track “House Of Matches,” which delves into themes of personal hardship and emotional turmoil.
Lead singer Kellin Quinn shared his thoughts on the release: “’House Of Matches’ is the final music video we’re putting out from our new album, An Ending In Itself. It was awesome to make three videos tie into each other with the help of Max Moore. We couldn’t be more proud of the work that went into this record. Enjoy!”
A Return to Form
Produced by Will Yip, the new record represents both a homecoming and a reckoning for the band. It revives the restless spirit of their classic sound while incorporating the nuanced experience they have gained in recent years. Kellin Quinn describes An Ending in Itself as both a culmination and a continuation, completing the emotional and thematic arc established by their previous records, How It Feels to Be Lost and Complete Collapse.
The band recently surprised fans with a viral live performance of the title track in a New York City subway station. Critics have already begun to weigh in, with Kerrang! calling the record “expectation-defeating,” noting that the band has successfully found the best versions of themselves.
Looking Ahead
Driven by angst and massive melodies, this album marks the band’s return to Rise Records. After fifteen years and seven studio albums, Sleeping With Sirens continues to solidify their status as a household name in modern alternative rock. The current lineup—Kellin Quinn, Nick Martin, Justin Hills, Matty Best, and Tony Pizzuti—is currently preparing for a busy summer of festival appearances, including the Vans Warped Tour, Inkcarceration, and Aftershock.
