Singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and queer pop visionary Zolita has officially announced her forthcoming album, HELL’S BELLES, set for release on August 28. The project serves as a genre-bending concept record, meticulously split into two distinct sonic worlds that balance the softer, romantic spirit of “BELLES” with the dark, hedonistic pulse of “HELL.”

Alongside the announcement, Zolita has unveiled her latest single, “HARDCORE,” which follows the release of the album’s title track last month.

The album’s lead single, “Hell’s Belles,” introduced the central duality that defines the project. By blending country and rock influences with her signature pop sensibilities, Zolita establishes a narrative that embraces contradiction. As the artist explains, the album reflects her “split influences and dual nature as both an artist and a person. I am Hell, and I am Belle.”

While “Hell’s Belles” opened the door to this concept, “HARDCORE” kicks it off its hinges. The track marks a definitive transition into the album’s darker second half, capturing what Zolita describes as “the moment the album flips, when Belle transforms into her more hedonistic alter ego.” Trading romance for impulse and vulnerability for desire, the song plunges into a gritty electro-pop landscape fueled by instinct and power.

Ultimately, HELL’S BELLES is a testament to self-reinvention. It is a record that refuses to choose between softness and power, vulnerability and confidence, or guitar-driven romance and club-ready catharsis. Instead, Zolita fully inhabits every version of herself, inviting listeners to do the same.
