Following their globally celebrated comeback, A*Teens are back with their brand-new single “You Got The Look” today. The single follows the massive success of “Iconic”, the group’s first new music in over 22 years, which became one of the biggest pop comebacks of the year.

The gold-certified single ”Iconic” quickly climbed to #1 on Spotify, the Swedish Singles Chart, and the Swedish Radio Chart, marking A*Teens’ first #1 single in Sweden since “Mamma Mia” in 1999. “Iconic” has also seen major international success across several markets, including the US, the UK, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and South America.

Reflecting on their return, the group shared, “Not having released a new song in over 22 years and then receiving the incredible response that ‘Iconic’ has gotten so far feels both emotional and overwhelming. The fact that the song also became our first #1 in Sweden since ‘Mamma Mia’ truly makes it feel like things have come full circle.”

The group now follows up that success with “You Got The Look” — a modern take on Roxette’s global hit “The Look”. The original song became an international smash, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and topping charts in countries including Germany, Italy, Australia, Norway, Switzerland, and the Eurochart Hot 100. This year also marks Roxette’s 40th anniversary, and both Roxette and A*Teens have played important roles in the Swedish pop phenomenon with major international success, making it feel natural for A*Teens to put their own spin on one of Sweden’s most iconic pop songs.

“We are incredibly proud to release ‘You Got The Look’. Together with the producers, we truly feel we managed to make the song our own. Honestly, it feels surreal to have been given the opportunity to open Roxette’s treasure chest. ‘The Look’ is one of the greatest Swedish pop songs ever made. Being able to celebrate the Swedish pop legacy in this way is a huge honor for us,” says A*Teens.

“You Got The Look” was written by Per Gessle, Hanna Hedman, Alicia Ericson, Kristoffer Fogelmark, and Albin Nedler, and produced by Alicia Ericson, Josef Vallander, Albin Nedler, and Kristoffer Fogelmark. Per Gessle of Roxette added, “Time passes and pop music, just like everything else, evolves. I’m happy that A*Teens managed to create a modern and vibrant version of ‘The Look’ 38 years after it was born. Quite magical, really!”

A*Teens were formed in 1998 and quickly became internationally recognized for their unique interpretations of ABBA’s timeless hits. Following their celebrated reunion in 2024, the group has continued their comeback with live performances around the world, building on their legacy with new music and an upcoming summer tour.
