A New Chapter in Genre-Defying Rock

UK alt-rock trailblazers DON BROCO have officially unleashed their latest studio effort, Nightmare Tripping, available now via Fearless Records. Known for their refusal to adhere to the constraints of a single genre, the band continues to push creative boundaries on this release, working once again with longtime collaborator and producer Dan Lancaster.

DON BROCO has built a career on the seamless integration of metal, post-hardcore, funk, and electronica. With Nightmare Tripping, the band dives into their heaviest and most nuanced work to date, embracing unexpected musical shifts and profound thematic explorations that challenge the listener.

Collaborations and Social Commentary

The album features a series of high-profile collaborations, most notably the title track featuring Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake. The track has already garnered significant critical acclaim, with outlets like VICE praising the song as a “collision of riffs, grooves, and a couple of killer breakdowns.”

In conjunction with the album’s release, the band has unveiled the powerhouse track “True Believers,” featuring Sam Carter of Architects. The song serves as a high-octane critique of the rise of far-right nationalism and societal brainwashing. Rob Damiani’s versatile vocal performance, paired with Carter’s signature intensity, creates a sonic landscape that is as aggressive as it is thought-provoking.

“We started writing this song back in 2024 during the Southport Riots,” shares Damiani. “This song is about the brainwashing that’s led to this, to question what we’ve been brought up believing and the narratives that have been reinforced for generations.”

Navigating the Modern World

The journey through Nightmare Tripping is one of discovery and reinvention. From the nu-metal swagger of “Cellophane” to the raw emotional vulnerability of “Disappear” and the electronic-infused grooves of “Euphoria,” the album showcases a band at the height of their creative powers.

“For us, Nightmare Tripping is an album coming to terms with a new understanding of how to navigate the world,” the band notes. “It’s about lifting the veil and accepting that life can sometimes feel like waking up from one nightmare straight into the next, and finding a way to be ok with that.”

Upcoming Live Performances

Following a successful U.S. tour, DON BROCO is set to bring these new tracks to life on stage. The band has announced a series of intimate album release shows across the UK, followed by a busy summer festival schedule, including a highly anticipated performance at Finsbury Park alongside Biffy Clyro and Nothing But Thieves.
