The Darkness brought their unmistakable brand of face-melting, tongue-in-cheek love anthems to Summit Music Hall on November 22, 2025. Opening the night was Irish rocker
Mark Daly accompanied by his razor-tight backing band — a perfect stylistic match who wasted no time warming up the room. Daly’s set was engaging, energetic, and clearly well-received as he primed the crowd for the internationally beloved headliners everyone was eagerly waiting for. After ripping through several fan favorites, including the soaring standout “
Superhero,” Daly paused to thank the audience for showing up early. He also gave a nod to the merch table, where fans could pick up everything from the usual tour essentials to handmade jewelry crafted by the band themselves from repurposed guitar strings — a subtle, personal touch that resonated with the early arrivers.
During the short intermission, any remaining gaps in the massive crowd were quickly swallowed up as fans packed into Summit Music Hall. From the balcony to the barricade, anticipation rippled through the room in waves as the crowd chanted for the boys from Lowestoft, England. The energy was already white-hot by the time The Darkness stormed the stage and launched into “Rock and Roll Party Cowboy,” the opening track from their newly released
Dreams on Toast. The fresh material was woven evenly throughout the night — five album tracks along with one of the many bonus cuts — giving longtime fans a generous taste of the latest era.
Second up was one of the best-loved singles from their debut album, the wildly infectious “Growing on Me.” By the third song, the entire room had shifted into full sing-along mode, with one front-row fan proudly sporting a large Darkness logo tattoo that did not go unnoticed. The band was firing on all cylinders, their trademark bombastic charisma intact. A few bras even found their way onto the stage, with at least one becoming an impromptu set prop for much of the show — a detail that felt perfectly on brand for the band’s mischievous spirit.
