Disicpline of the slow is the collaborative album between Italian composer Valeria Miracapillo and Greek violinist Dimos Vryzas. It is out via Flaming Pines and celebrate the slow, the understated, the stretched out, and the unexpected in this atmospheric and languorous collaboration.
According to the press release, Recorded live in Vryzas’ Athens studio, with no overdubs added, Discipline of the Slow is both delicate and rough, focused and unpredictable as it moves from bursts of percussion, to distorted electronics, bleeps, blasts, rumbles and pings, all by turn woven together and picked apart by Vryzas’ violin.
