Rising singer-songwriter Whitney Whitney has released her poetic new single, “Does The Narcissist Need A Kiss?,” available everywhere now. The emotive track arrives alongside an official visualizer, and sees soft piano rippling beneath delicate vocal echoes.

“The subject was a girl I used to know,” says Whitney Whitney. “I remember having this dream about writing a diss track on her. I woke up at 3 AM, and I was like, ‘I’m going to write these crazy lyrics I came up with in the dream half-asleep’. It’s very near and dear to me, because it’s fun to take risks, especially on wild lyrics.”

“Does The Narcissist Need A Kiss?” showcases Whitney Whitney’s inventive and inimitable approach to pop. Similar to the rush of writing freehand in a fit of inspiration, the Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter spills intimate thoughts, bare emotions, and unapologetic truths onto an organic pop canvas, twisting her unrestrained poetry throughout an orchestral sonic rollercoaster.

Growing up between Connecticut and Manhattan, she developed a creative foundation built upon a love for Elton John, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, 80s pop, classical string arrangements, and more. Between filling notebooks with ideas and poems, Whitney honed her voice through musical theater, cultivating a confident and charismatic presence. She quietly made waves with her original songs before teaming up with producer Justin Lucas (known for his work with Khalid, Alec Benjamin, and Daniel Caesar), writing and recording numerous demos.

Now, with “Does The Narcissist Need A Kiss?” and more vivid, surprising music to come, Whitney Whitney brings her expansive and engaging pop vision to life, following her own creative path without compromise.
