The Farm release Moment In Time and announce surprise show

The Farm release Moment In Time, their first new music of 2025, and celebrate with a surprise hometown show.

Lifted from Let The Music (Take Control), their first album in more than 30 years, the band will showcase their new tracks at a surprise free show at Liverpool’s Jacaranda tonight (Wed 9 April).

Featuring the original ‘heyday’ line-up of Peter Hooton (vocals), Steve Grimes (guitar/keys), Keith Mullin (guitar) Carl Hunter (bass) and Roy Boulter (drums), Moment In Time is a joyous slice anthemic indie-pop from the Liverpool five-piece.

Feel The Love

The fruits of The Farm’s new studio sessions were first tasted with BBC Radio 2-playlisted single, Feel The Love, released in summer 2023.

Sensing a new creative momentum within themselves and a desire among fans for more of the same, The Farm connected with leading indie label, Modern Sky and completed a further, nine tracks to complete Let The Music (Take Control).

Recorded in their home city and produced with Mike Cave (The Charlatans, Bloc Party) the album is set for release on Friday 20 June and will be available on multiple formats, including vinyl, CD and digital.

Catapulted into the spotlight in 1991 by the success of their No.1 debut album Spartacus and, the hit singles Groovy Train and All Together Now, The Farm originally formed in 1984, before splitting in 1996. However, since 2004, they have toured frequently and, taking new ideas from their rehearsals for major outdoor shows as the blueprint for a potential new album, a refreshed sense of creativity emerged.

Their appearance at Liverpool’s Jacaranda is the band’s first gig since their intimate show at Liverpool’s The Arts Club last November. For ticket details click here.
