Genre-blending rock artist, Leon Knight has released his highly anticipated single “Yes I Do” feat. DE’WAYNE via Knightmare Records. The track premiered yesterday before hitting DSP’s with an On The Radar performance full of swagger and explosive energy.
This song is a high-energy, infectious track that captures Leon Knight and DE’WAYNE in their most authentic form. Fusing electrifying guitar riffs, soulful funk-infused vocals, and an irresistible groove, it delivers a sound that’s both reminiscent of rock and roll legends while pushing boldly toward the future of the genre.
Speaking on the new single, Knight shared, “’Yes I Do’ is the ultimate sassy funk rock anthem. It’s got everything I love: vintage drum machines, sassy synth lines, that classic rock and roll rhythm, and loud guitar solos. It’s us saying, ‘Yeah, we really live this sh*t.’ It’s also a canon event for me as a producer because I’ve found a way to blend my vintage sonic influences while making a record that hits just as hard in the club as any modern rap record.”
Leon Knight burst onto the scene with his debut record Can It Please Be Tomorrow? in 2023. It featured singles such as “Hard Pass” and “Dirty Dancer” both of which showcase his electrifying sound. Now he returns with this latest collaboration on “Yes I Do,” on a mission to bring authentic rock and roll music back to the mainstream.
