Argentine singer-songwriter, Juan Minatta, collaborates with Micaela Blue once again to share a brand new EP, after the aftermath (remixes). From a “don’t rain on my parade” remix, to a “slow + reverb _ rain’ remix, and a “sped up version,” Juan Minatta has imagined the perfect track for each listener’s taste. Of course the original intimate pop ballad is also included in the new EP and is absolutely hypnotic.
Minatta and Blue have shared that the song “after the aftermath” is about looking back at a past relationship with a certain nostalgic feeling, thinking about the joy it brought while it lasted and how everything eventually faded into it being just a memory.”
With vulnerable lyrics like “You only get to know love when it fades away” or “When the light outweighs the tears again,” Minatta’s new single fascinates with the top-notch poetry it pairs with sublime sonics. Juan Minatta has also shared that he “Sugar-coated” his thoughts with the illusion of what “Love” is, especially when saying “hold me like you won’t anymore.”
“after the aftermath” has peaked at #1 on Iceland’s Top 50 & #17 on New Zealand Top 50 on Spotify Charts, and this is just the beginning of the pair’s unstoppable ascension to the very top in the coming years.
