Fitz and the Tantrums brought their “Man on the Moon Tour” to Denver’s Botanic Gardens on July 29th, 2025. This show was the perfect description of a summer night if I’ve ever seen one. Hundreds of families gathered in the grass surrounding a stage to hear old hits and a new album that dropped just days before the show.
I wasn’t expecting such a large range in audience, but throughout the crowd I saw children, newlyweds, grandparents, and even companies gathered for the show. This wasn’t your typical concert with bright lights, visuals, and loud speakers, it was honestly more comfortable, with a few stage lights, still performing before the sun even set, and people sitting enjoying dinner with a show.
The setlist was also very evenly split, sharing a few of the band’s classics from the 2000s, as well as songs that came out pretty recently. They just released their 6th studio album and have lots of songs to pick from, and I felt a perfect mix of their music through the ages.
I think my favorite part of the night centered around the venue. Fitz and the Tantrums have a perfect aesthetic that fit very well with the Botanic Gardens, and a fair share of the audience enjoyed a walk around while they waited for the band and listened to a pre-show playlist. Everything about this show was incredible and a great addition to the Summer Concert Series here in Denver.
