Rising electronic producer BLOODY is back with a new double single, “FADE / PRETTY,” out on bitbird now. It’s a powerful two-track release that shows both sides of BLOODY’s sound: loud and chaotic on one end, emotional and dreamy on the other.
The first track, “FADE”, dropped earlier on June 6 and quickly made an impact, landing on Spotify’s Sub Low, Apple Music’s Trap & Bass, Amazon Music’s Bass Box, and SoundCloud’s Bass Flex. It also got some radio support from Triple J. It is loud, heavy, and built for kids who grew up on Skrillex and now crave something fresh. BLOODY teams up with HeyBela on a track full of growling bass, chopped vocals, and massive drops: reviving the chaos of 2010s dubstep in a sharper, modern form.
The new track, “PRETTY,” flips that rage into something far more tender. BLOODY teams up with lo arndt, whose soft, haunting vocals float over glitchy drums and sparkly synths. Drawing from hyperpop, alt-electronic, and dance-pop, the track is light but still powerful: mixing sweetness and distortion in a way that feels nostalgic and new at the same time. It’s perfect for late-night drives, zoning out with your headphones, or dancing with your friends in someone’s living room.
