Rising pop darling Bella Rios has released her sophomore EP Right Now alongside the fiery official video for the artist’s searing country-tinged pop rock single, “I’m The Man.” Shot in her homebase of Nashville, TN between an East End dive bar and the Nashville Superspeedway, the video finds Rios in the driver’s seat literally and figuratively as she takes on the man in a fun visual that’s equal parts savage and self-affirming. Written during a pivotal phase in her life, Right Now is a deeply personal and honest exploration of navigating young adulthood and the bittersweet closing of one chapter for another. This EP is Rios at her best: real and raw as she puts pen to paper to encapsulate a potent blend of defiance and vulnerability with relatable stories that deftly navigate the emotional minefield of outgrowing relationships, the strength in choosing yourself and the courage it takes to embrace uncertainty – all while showcasing her tremendous vocal ability: confident and unwavering. Right Now is a sonic journey into heartbreak, anxiety and empowerment and a love letter to young adulthood and girlhood that serves as a reminder to stay present and appreciate every moment before it comes to an end.

“Like every release, this EP is a part of me,” said Bella Rios. “It’s the most honest, vulnerable expression of everything I’ve been through as of late. This collection of songs is uniquely hopeful and confident, which reflects the special life ‘era’ I’m entering. It’s a massive, and often scary, transitional period where you really start to grow into yourself and solidify the person you are becoming. I hope these songs help anyone going through a similar experience embrace it, all the difficult, but formative parts included.”

It’s Bella Rios is a Gen Z vocal powerhouse who channels her whimsical personality into deeply relatable songwriting, and music is truly embedded in her DNA. Hailing from the vibrant city of Chicago and now based in the musical crucible of Nashville, her musical journey began at five when she started learning classical piano. Influenced by greats like Queen, Fleetwood Mac, and Aerosmith, as well as modern icons such as Adele, P!nk, and Lady Gaga, Rios sets herself apart with her dynamic vocal performance and powerfully connective songwriting. She makes music to be shared, whether in the form of her energetic live show, or a friend DM’ing a link to the vocal gymnastics in her uber-popular Tik Tok series (“Pressing Record Every Time a Song Gets Stuck in My Head”) which has garnered attention from Maren Morris, Sam Barber, X Ambassadors & more.

Tackling topics like the euphoria of love, crushing lows of heartbreak and the vertigo-inducing peaks and valleys of mental health, Rios vibe checks her songs with friends (having just recently graduated from Princeton as an Econ major) — if they love them, she knows she’s onto something. Her music has landed on TIDAL’s New Arrivals & Pop: Rising playlists; on MTV’s Spankin’ New, received support from Live Nation’s Ones To Watch via their #NowWatching playlist and can be heard in the Hulu Original movie Prom Dates.
