Soul-stirring vocalist and songwriter Alana Hil has unveiled her new EP, Diaries of a Common Woman, out now alongside the official video for her latest single “In Between.”

A deeply personal and emotionally charged body of work, Diaries of a Common Woman finds Alana exploring themes of identity, resilience, and mental health with striking vulnerability. Blending elements of soul, R&B, and pop, the project showcases her powerhouse vocals and emotional storytelling – a combination that’s quickly earning attention from Rolling Stone, Consequence, Ones to Watch, and more.

Speaking about the new project, Alana shares: “‘Diaries of a Common Woman’ navigates my experiences with the extremes of mania, numbness, and depression. Having been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, I use my art to reflect the complexities of trauma and the stigma surrounding mental health, translating deeply personal experiences into sonic and visual form.”

At the heart of the project is “In Between,” a standout track that debuts today alongside an accompanying video that mirrors the emotional push and pull, pairing raw, intimate moments with evocative visual storytelling that reflects Hil’s knack for translating feeling into art. The EP also features fan-favorite singles “Say It,” “Love and Mental Breakdowns,” and “Heartbleed Over Coffee,” which introduced listeners to her genre-blurring sound and unflinching honesty.

After a standout summer touring with Macy Gray, Alana will celebrate the EP release with a special headline show in Los Angeles at Black Rabbit Rose on Wednesday, November 12th. For tickets and more information, see here.
