DIY musician Dominique began developing an interest in electronic music while studying Biology at New York University. She released the debut EP in early 2016. Earlier this year, she was awarded the Songwriters Hall Of Fame’s Abe Olman Scholarship (with the song “Girls Can’t Produce”) which sees her join past recipients such as John Legend, Bebe Rexha, Maude Latour & more.
Speaking of the new track “La Kroy”, Dominique says “La Kroy’ is about the kind of guy who uses his vague understanding of cryptocurrency and the stock market as a substitute for his lack of personality. We all know someone who fits this “crypto f***boy” archetype: he possesses all of the stereotypes associated with typical f***boy behavior (lack of respect for women, sense of entitlement, and an unwavering allegiance to Joe Rogan), but also suffers from a crippling addiction to online trading.”
