We don’t know much about sound artist and composer Scattered Light. He has released a new album called Beacons which is out now via Shimmering Moods Records. According to the press release, A love letter to the wintry landscapes of the far northern arctic, this album is a collection of reel-to-reel tape loops that aim to convey the sense of stillness and solitude that can be found looking out upon snow covered mountains.
Perhaps something that could be heard repeating endlessly over an archaic and long-forgotten broadcast station, I’d like these loops to give you the same sense of peace that I felt in creating them.
