Memphis-born, NYC-based singer, guitarist, songwriter, and pianist Luisa Wilson has officially returned with her latest single, “WTF?” The release also serves as an exciting announcement for her upcoming Fall EP, LOVE ON MARS?
Reflecting on the creative process behind the track, Wilson shared, “The idea came to me when I was lying in bed late at night with my guitar. I was going through one of many endings to one of many failed relationships and it was just the first thought that came to mind; ‘WTF? ….this happened again, kinda down on my luck.’ It just felt very natural and true to what I was going through in that moment. It was frustration, discouragement, and just had to be the first line of the song.”
Fans can catch Wilson performing “WTF?” live during her upcoming New York City residency. She is scheduled to appear at Bowery Palace on August 30 alongside Imogen Valentine, Kyra Baskin, and Isabella Kensington, followed by a performance at Pianos on September 2 with Lucy Bright and Hannah Williams. Additionally, she will take the stage at the Mondo NYC 2026 showcase at Arlo Williamsburg’s The Mirror Bar on October 15.
Wilson’s momentum continues to build following her graduation from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, where she notably performed the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium. Her recent collaboration with Michael Minelli on the viral TikTok series “Step To The Mike” has further cemented her rising status, with her verse on “Call Me When It Rains” garnering over four million views. Earlier this year, she released the Love & Oxygen (Live in Bushwick) EP, showcasing her ability to blend classical influences with modern pop, folk, and R&B sensibilities.
