Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Tabor explains, “On the surface, ‘Bleed Me Dry’ seems to be a vampire song, but I also see it as being about that feeling of giving yourself completely to one person. Like, you’re so wrapped up in them that you’d let everything else fall apart and let them completely ‘bleed you dry,’ because being with them feels like the only thing that matters.”
The production of “Bleed Me Dry” was a collaborative effort, with Tabor working alongside producer Micah Tawlks, known for his work with artists such as Hayley Williams and Niall Horan. This partnership has helped elevate the song’s emotional weight, creating a soundscape that feels both intimate and grand.
This release follows Tabor’s recent single, “Coffee,” which delved into themes of anxiety and the search for identity. While “Coffee” used the titular beverage as a metaphor for coping mechanisms, “Bleed Me Dry” pushes further into the vulnerability that defined his 2025 debut album, I Hope They Set You Free. That debut record, which was written entirely by Tabor and produced in Nashville with Ken Coomer, established him as a serious musical force.
