Global Citizen has officially announced that Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean are set to headline the 2026 Global Citizen Festival. The highly anticipated event will take place on the Great Lawn in New York City’s Central Park, serving as a major highlight for 2026 music fans and activists alike.
The performance will feature a landmark 30th-anniversary celebration of the Fugees’ seminal album, The Score. Hosted by actor and activist Hugh Jackman, the festival aims to mobilize support for the eradication of extreme poverty. The star-studded lineup also includes performances by Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey, and Tomorrow X Together.
Reflecting on the mission of the event, Hugh Jackman shared his enthusiasm in a recent press release: “It’s time to gather once again on the Great Lawn, in the middle of New York City, to tell the world an end to extreme poverty is possible. There’s something every one of us can do to change the world, and what better way to participate than by taking action with Global Citizen, earning those points, and celebrating with a day of music and advocacy to close out the summer. See you there!”
This announcement arrives on the heels of Global Citizen’s recent World Cup Halftime Show, continuing the organization’s tradition of blending high-profile entertainment with global advocacy. As the summer of 2026 approaches, the festival promises to be a pivotal moment for both the music industry and international humanitarian efforts.
