Rising alt-rock artist Lø Spirit has released a new single “XO to the Grave,” a deeply personal dedication to his son shaped by his ongoing battle with chronic illness. Capturing the emotional weight, isolation, and resilience that define Lø’s lived experience, the track transforms vulnerability into something both cathartic and hard-hitting. Watch the accompanying video now below.
“‘XO to the Grave’ is an open letter to my son to make sure he knows how much I love him despite whatever challenges or struggles are going on in my life,” Lø explains. “To let him know he is the most important part of my life, always.”
The new track follows Lø’s recent collaboration with GRAMMY-nominated electronic artist ILLENIUM on “War” as well as his latest single “Aløne”, continuing a momentous journey that seen him sell out his first U.S. headline tour, hit the road supporting The Struts, and perform at major festivals including Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville. Beyond his solo work, he’s also hit #1 as a writer and producer for artists like Papa Roach and Funeral Portrait, solidifying his place as an artist-to-watch.
Lø Spirit is the sonic outlet of songwriter and producer Joshua Landry, an artist who turns internal battles into something vast, visceral, and deeply human. Living with OCD, PTSD, MCAS, and anxiety, Lø writes not to escape the darkness but to meet it head-on and to make sure no one facing theirs has to feel alone. His music feels like confession and catharsis at once: diaristic lyrics, poetic melodies, and a voice that resonates deeply.
Before releasing his own work, Lø Spirit captured hearts online as SadSongsOnly, reinterpreting artists like My Chemical Romance and Highly Suspect with a rawness that stopped people mid-scroll. When he shifted to originals, tracks like “Mind of Mine” and “Good Enough,” what began as a personal coping mechanism grew into a global community that sees themselves in his words.
With a new project on the way, Lø Spirit is carving out a space in alt-rock that’s both cinematic and intimate – an artist unafraid to feel deeply, speak plainly, and build a world where pain becomes connection.
