Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have announced that they will be releasing a commemorative Pet Shop Boys tea set.
The products are the first to be launched as part of the new Pet Shop Boys Since 1984 range to commemorate 40 years since the release of the duo’s debut single – the original version of West End Girls.
Their long-term collaborators Farrow with Tennant and Lowe have designed the quintessentially British bespoke fine bone china tea set, which was manufactured by Duchess China in Stoke-on-Trent.
The limited-edition collection features a tea pot, cups and saucers, milk jug and sugar bowl – all in classic royal blue and white, and packaged in a bespoke box in a variety of sets with prices starting at £200.
Time For Tea
Established in 1888, Duchess China produce the highest calibre of fine bone china using the same traditional processes they have used for 135 years.
Each piece is hand-finished and decorated and each set comes with a product booklet and certificate of authenticity. More Pet Shop Boys since 1984 products, including clothing, will be released in the coming months.

Quintessentially British
Pet Shop Boys released their 15th album, Nonetheless, produced by James Ford, on Parlophone Records in April. The record includes the singles Loneliness, Dancing Star, A New Bohemia and Feel and reached No.2 in the UK album chart in its first week of release – their highest-charting studio album since 1993.
A special expanded edition of the album will be released on 22 November, featuring the full record, four new bonus songs and the original demo versions of all the tracks on the album. Pet Shop Boys’ new double A-side single, New London Boy / All The Young Dudes, is released 7 November.
The single will be available as two digital bundles next week and from 15 November as two CD singles.
Pet Shop Boys Since 1984
In July Pet Shop Boys concluded the latest UK and European dates of their ‘Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live’ tour with a sold-out residency at London’s Royal Opera House which received five-star press reviews, and in September they headlined the Sunday night at this year’s BBC Radio 2 in the Park in Preston.
From 11-14 November, 11pm-12am, Pet Shop Boys will present shows for BBC Radio 6 Music’s Artist in Residence.
The Pet Shop Boys commemorative tea sets go on sale from 20 November and are available to pre-order here.
