French pianist Vanessa Wagner has announced the release of a new album which follows 2022’s The Study of InvisibleMirrored will be out on November 25th via InFiné. According to the press release, she collects solo piano studies of graceful minimalism and rare finesse, including pieces by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nico Muhly, Léo Ferré, Moondog, Camille Pepin, Melaine Dalibert.

This new album has been recorded at TAP-Théâtre-Auditorium de Poitiers and entirely produced in Dolby Atmos version. The artwork is an original sculpture by French artist Laurent Pernot. The new excerpt is a Leo Ferré composition called “Opus X”.

According to the press release, The French pianist crystallises in 3 minutes the melancholic imaginary of a leading artist of French Chanson (Alongside Jacque Brel, Edith Piaf, Yves Montant). Opus X is a rare piano piece composed by Léo Ferré in the 1980s and released on his posthumous first album Metamec.
