D.In.Ge.Cc.O is the project of Italian electronic producer Gianluca D’Ingecco who we introduced with the 2021’s album Linear Burns and the amazing video fo the track “Much More Funky Than Bacon Eggs”. Now he has announced the release of a new album called Bacanadera which will be out on March 18th via Waste Noise. The title is a mix of the words “Batucada” and “Baccanale”.
Today we have the pleasure to share a new track called “The Midnight Jog“. Listen below and read the story behind the track and the video.
The track and the video are described in this way: “In the not too distant future, or in a parallel cyberpunk dimension, a girl, inside her house, at night, manages, with makeshift connections, to create a virtual reality for jogging. She imagines herself running in a field or in the light of a sunset over the sea, in the shoes of a girl or a man, running through a forest immersed in fog or across the countryside. At one point, while the girl tries to program new scenarios, something goes wrong and a copious smoke comes out of the system.
Only then the girl seems to realize which the virtual journey, that act of rebellion, in the end, is just a dream. At that point the entities take control, as if the hacking of the system is discovered. An official, who seems to come out of a 70s science fiction film, also equipped with a virtual viewer, seems to want to create something, within the same virtual reality, to put things back in order. The result is a psychedelic world that, between soap bubbles and steam-flooded spheres, projects towards a magnificent lunar sunrise, seen from above the clouds.”
