Denver-based trumpeter and composer Joshua Trinidad has released a new album called Sleeping With My Worries which is out now via Indian label Subcontinental Records. According to the press release, Sleeping with my worries would’ve been and could’ve been Joshua Trinidad’s final album of his lifetime if he was one of the many that contracted covid-19 and died.
For months, Joshua Trinidad worried that he himself would catch the novel Covid-19 and pass away. Every morning, Joshua was thankful to live another day. The title, “Sleeping with my worries” explained how Joshua felt during this time. He worried about who would take care of his kids? Who would take care of his wife? His family? Every night, Joshua went to sleep with many worries. He wrote this album as a goodbye letter to his family and friends if in fact this was his final album. All songs were written and produced by Joshua Trinidad in his personal studio during the global lockdown.
