Instrumentally “You’re the Star” has so much to offer considering the musicality displayed here, although my favorite part is actually when a bulk of the instruments fall silent.
In that moment, Sofi’s voice is dressed in a lavish pitch-shifting harmonizer that creates quite a trippy effect, and this is accentuated by dreamy keys floating in the backdrop. Something that also makes the track real catchy is her superb choice of vocal melodies that ensure that this is stuck in your head for hours on end.
