The above quote is from an interview we had with Aiwake earlier this year, and it pretty much explains why we’re submerged in a whirling haze of lush textures on his latest release “Faded Patterns”.
Aiwake’s voice actually feels like an instrument on here since the lyricism slides in the passenger seat, and vocally his performance is driven by his catchy, sensual melodies. Aiwake and Saen further flaunt the virtuosity when it comes to sound design with the dramatic ending escorted by a glimmering lead synth. “Faded Patterns” is the first single from their forthcoming #99000a EP, so we can be expecting more textural grandeur quite soon.
