Huma is the project of Barcelona based experimental producer Andrés Satué. Two years ago we introduced him with the first full-lenght album Eva which was included in our best debut albums list. Now he has announced the release of a new album called Recurrence which will be out on February 25th via Hedonic Reversal. “Recurrence” is the first excerpt. Listen below.

According to the press release, Emergence experiments with irregular and unpredictable structures that arise from sequences and textures colliding and merging into rhythmic and melodic sonic explorations that seem non-human-like but at the same time intuitive and almost familiar. Inspired by the Emergence Theory, which states that a large number of relatively simple elements can self-organize into behaviors that appear to be unexpectedly complex, it creates a process by which musical order seems to emerge out from chaos.
