Scottish musician and composer Drew McDowall (Coil, Psychic TV) has released a new album called Agalma which is out now via Dais Records. It features Caterina Barbieri, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, drone organist Kali Malone, operatic Humanbeast vocalist Maralie Armstrong-Rial, Saudi producer MSYLMA, and futurist beat-makers Bashar Suleiman and Elvin Brandhi.
It is “joy, terror, and the elegiac”, “to try and approach sublimity, or at least acknowledge it in some way”, “that ‘what the fuck is going on’ feeling.”, Drew says.
